Mablethorpe's Angel Festival
In 2007 Mablethorpe's first ever Angel Festival was organised by Mablethorpe's Chamber of Trade and the Mablethorpe Tourism Forum.
There was a best dressed angel competition judged at the Station Sports Centre where Gemma Cullen won the toddlers to five years age category. Other winners were - Katie Crossley in the six to 13 years section, April Halford in the 14 to 19 age group and Graham Cullen in the 20 to 100 years category. The judging took place at the Station Sports Centre.
Meanwhile at Spanish City entertainment included live music, carols, a nativity play, tombola stall and Santa's grotto. Many of the shops stayed open for the event and mince pies and mulled wine enjoyed by many of those who came along.
The festival was a success and will return bigger and better next year - along with a host of other events.
